Yeah, I spent two weeks in Japan this summer, and we stayed about six days at the Tokyo Prince Hotel in Minato-ku (Minato is one the 23 wards of Tokyo), and I have to say it was a good experience. It wasn’t too expensive, and the rooms were pretty nice.

As far as revolving-belt sushi bars are concerned, you are going to have to look pretty hard to find one. In the entire two weeks we were there, we only ever found two of them and they were both in Kyoto department stores. For food, I would suggest ramen stands (there are some good ones in Ginza and Akihabara), this kare (japanese curry) chain that I think was called “CoCo,” “MOS Burger” which is a Japanese burger chain that puts Carl’s Jr. to shame, or you could just see what’s available in the train stations (they have quite a few good restaurants). If you’re having trouble finding a palletable sushi place though, you could always just pick up a bento box from a store (just about any stores with food have them — even some convenient stores).
I hope that helped!
